For instance, prompted by concern over solvent emissions, SigmaKalon has been a leader in the development of new water-based coatings. We have also invested heavily in waste water treatment at production plants, in order to protect local water quality. All our products meet and, where possible, exceed the legislative requirements in force in our different markets. We are in constant dialogue with customers to ensure they use our products safely, and liaise with regulatory authorities to help establish new and better standards. And by sharing knowledge across our operations, we ensure that best practice is transferred quickly from one market to another.
